  On Sunday the 20th of june the Tippwheelers were represented by Brian Devitt and Dermot Radford in a very hilly race in Cobh County Cork. The A4 race was 5 laps of a 10 kilometre circuit. The last 3 kilometres of each lap was very tough climbing. Dermot represented the Tippwheelers very well getting up the final 3 kilometre climb on the last lap in 5th place getting himself and the club in the prizes on the day.

On thursday the 17th of june Liam Butler, Brian Devitt and Dermot Radford represented the club in a tough 25 mile time trial in Cahir hosted by Carrick tri club. Liam Butler recorded a time of 1 hour 1 min, Dermot Radford Recorded a time of 1 hour 6 mins and Brian Devitt recorded a time of 1 hour 10 mins. All athletes on the night noted that the time trial was almost 26 miles in duration.

  To finish off a very busy week for the Tippwheelers, four members including Dermot Radford, Brian Devitt, Rory Devitt and Pat Ryan all represented the club in the A4 category Race in Currow in Co Kerry on Sunday the 13th of June. The four cyclists all finished in the lead bunch just missing out on the prizes. This was a big step for Tipperary town’s new cycling club having 4 cyclists wearing the clubs colours representing the town of Tipperary and surrounding areas in a very successful way with a strong finish from all four riders.

  The Limerick Time Trial Championships were hosted this week and the Tippwheelers were represented by Liam Butler with a time of 27:04, Graham Butler with a time of 28:42, Dermot Radford with a time of 29:02, Brian Devitt with a time of 30:49, and J P Dilian with a time of 31:13. The club was very successful. Liam Butler won the elite vet category, Graham Butler came 4th in the elite category and JP Dilian came 1st in the vet 60+ Category. This was a big day for the club with 2 athletes receiving prizes for 1st place finishes. Congrats to Liam and JP for their success. The Munster Championships will be held on the 25th of June and hopefully the lads can bring the club more silverware. On Tuesday the 8th of June Tipperary’s new cycling club the Tippwheelers unveiled their new club jersey which will be used by the club in competition and leisure tours. The jersey is being displayed in Byrnes Spar shop the main club sponsor in Tipperary town for people to see. The unveiling of the jersey coincided with the wheelers getting some air time on Tipp FM with Fran Curry to promote the new club and talk about the clubs future. Club chairman Billy Slattery and Club secretary Brian Devitt spoke on the radio. In the photo left to right is Billy Slattery, Brian Devitt, Tommy Byrnes and Tipp FM DJ Frank Curry.  
 
 
On Saturday the 5th of June Brian Devitt and
Ruaidhri Devitt travelled to a 50K A4 race in Newcastlewest. Both Brian
and Ruaidhri finished in the lead group.
 
 
The Patrickswell time trial was hosted on Thursday the 3rd of June. Liam Butler finished with a time of 26:22. This gave liam first place on the night and Liam won the overall first prize for the series. Pat Ryan recorded a time of 29:01 and Brian Devitt had a time of 29:35. Frenchman J.P Dilian had a time of 31:30. This was an important time trial as it was the last in the series and Liam Butler did the club very proud in getting the clubs first first place finish in competition. So big congrats to Liam.
