On Saturday the 6th of November  6 members of the Tipperary Wheelers cycling club took part in the Cliona Ring 80k charity cycle.   This is the 3rd year of the cycle where there was a spectacular turnout of over 250 people of all ages.  The cycle started at the Honey Fitz  Hall in Holy Cross where the highlight of the opening was the presence of the one and only cycling legend "Sean Kelly" who participated in the event,  for the banter chat and exercise.
The 80k route took us through Bruff - Knockainey - Hospital -Herbertstown - Caherconlish - Ballysimon Road where we had a light refreshment stop at Morrisons pub - then we cycled through Limerick City where there was a great turnout of  spectators cheering us on and the great event then finished via the Ballyneedy Road where we finished out great day at Holy Cross.
Nora and James Cunningham, Donal Breen, Phyllis Richardson, Martina Byrnes, and Mike Dineen would like to thank the Cliona Ring organisation for a very well run event which was enjoyed by all.  ( We can't wait to return again next year )
