The triathlon club in conjunction with the sports complex is running 2 meet and greet training nights on the running track in the Canon Hayes Sports Complex. The sessions are aimed at walkers to runners of all ability levels. The sessions consist of a women only and men only night. The ladies night takes place on Tuesdays at 7pm and the men’s night takes place on
Wednesdays at 8pm. The cost is 2 euro for the hour on the track. The sessions are worked in such a way that people of all abilities can take part from walkers to elite athletes. Each session generally consists of 5 sections

1. Running/walking warm up (5 min)
2. Dynamic stretching routine (10 min)
3. Main running/walking set which changes every week (30 min)
4. Static stretching routine (10 min)
5. Running/walking cool down (5 min)

The ladies night is run by club member Rory Devitt. It has been running on Tuesdays for the past number of months with great turn outs of 30-60 people every week showing the demand and interest in the suit all abilities session. The men’s night is starting next Wednesday with club member Tommy Byrnes running the session. Remember all are very welcome; you don’t have to be
a club member. The sessions will suit those who, run regularly, have never run, just want to walk or just want to get out in the air for a chat. The sessions consist of short intervals where people can run, jog, walk or whatever suits they are capable of. We hope for a great turn out of men on the first night.
